    Like I said in my introduction, I didn't create sigs or any piece of art for quite a long time, this is one of my first attempts.
    Tips/comments highly appreciated.

    Not bad for a first, the effects are nice, now work on getting some more detail into your background. Also, plain borders tend to work better but its up to you.

    you put the opacity of the render down , instead of doing that erase some of the sides of the render so it becomes more blended , with a soft brush ofcourse
    very nice for a first

    i am a noob XD but dont put the opacity of the render down , imo ofcourse

    Lol I made something like this but yours is way better, I like how well the render is blended in with the background.
