As for the CnC:
Pretty nice sig mate...Nice spacy feeling.
I think you overdone the stars... there are too many of them.
Erase some of them so the sig will less busy.

I like the render you've used, nice and funny.
Also the lens flare fits pretty good.
As David said: You've to add some more depht.
All of the stars are looking sharp... you should blur some of them too create better depht.
Also the lightning could use some work. Create a lightning source then grab your burn and dodge tool too finish it.

I think its pretty cool. As cs4 said, remove some of the stars and edit the text, its a real eye sore xD. The clipping mask also distracts me. Cool idea for a sig. kiu.

i prefer the colour one
the blur on the text is a bit strange but its not too bad
i dont think there is too many stars
but you defo need to add depth
