The colour of her hair looks sweet. But, i think the render doesn't demand enough attention (besides the fact that it is in the middle). Bit of boring space on the left and right of her and the effects look have been blurred a bit too much, imo. Ah, well just my opinion, better than alotta my crap anyways xD! GOGO

Anyways, i think her face is either being covered by the effects, or is too sharpened. Either way it is messing with the smoothness of it. You may also of blured the effects that are in the foreground a bit too much.
One last thing, it may look better if the colours of the effects matched her hair. It may look better with more of Fire-like colours.

Perhaps you should create a color scheme based off the render of your wife. It doesn't seem to flow that well, as if you just took a random background and stuck your wife on it. Needs some uniformity Boss.
