Sort of a freeverse..
Lost and Never Found
I once knew a girl
Back in high school
With dreams to view the world
And take a life cruise
On a yacht draped in pearls
Find a nice dude
Buy a house raise some girls
Live her life through
But dreams got deferred
She wound up on the curb
Was on the straight path
Saw a curve and she turned
Now she's saving dollars
For McDonald's in her purse
Snatching bottles out the trash
To try and quench her thirst
Took a single hit of base
Felt the tingle in her face
Knew she had to feel this way
Every moment of the day
Or the pain would be too great
For her to stay in this place
She would die on the streets
She was living on her grave.
Since birth she was cursed
With the worth of the worst
Felt she never came first
To anyone and it hurt
Had the confidence of dirt
But with the devil she would flirt
And it worked
He would give her what she craved
She'd forever be his slave and obey
All her love was replaced
With the lust for the yay
She could never break away
As if chained to her fate
Like a slave with no cage
It's the fear
That makes her stay and behave
She's okay she would say
When questioned about her day
Cause she never said much
Looking like she missed lunch
Picked up to get fucked
To get drugs for a headrush
Till one day they found her
With a needle in her vein
A baby in her womb
Spared the evil of this place
Tried to harbor the load
And it cost her two souls
Another baby never grows
But grows cold in a corpse
Never knowing his mom planned
To leave him cold on a porch
Not that she didn't love him
But his life she couldn't afford
She had lived poor on the floor
Her life in need of reform
No one to claim her
When they placed her
Body deep in the morgue
No grave to visit
For her family
To come see and mourn
Just a nameless victim
To the streets
That we all adore.
