As you said, text fails. I dont think theres much of a flow going on here either. The border is too thick. But i like the smudging. Also it looks a tad over contrasted

Way to many emptry black spaces, The smudging could have been carried out better the text is placed well but the clip mask is killing the text.

Tone down on the gradients a bit and the smudging could be carried out into the negative areas and im not really digging the text.

I like it except for the smudging on his hand. Looks like one of those big ass yellow gloves you put on to clean the bathroom.

I really like this but as said the hand kind of looks odd. True the border is thick but I think it suits nice to this tag.
The effects look nice.
