Just some thing I have been thinking about (well a few)

360 degrees is a circle, as I hope all you know. xBOX Circle... Hrm that really makes sense?

Or, it could have a negative notation of going in circles (ie: not innovating from the classic xbox). Sorry for the ramblings, just was thinking about it before I went to sleep late in the night (3am).

    Lol, indeed, very ironic.

They needed an excuse to include a number after their XBOX that compares with PS3. Having the name XBOX 2 seem's less significant when sitting next to the PS3.

But noo, they couldn't skip the '2' and go straight to '3'. So, the geniuses added a 60 after the '3'.

    And there you have it,
    the XBOX 360!

Then why keep the name XBox? Why not just rename it?

I think the xBox's cpu is pretty ironic.

Made by IBM the company that has been trying to take out windows servers and replace them with Linux or AIX. Plus on top of that it's a PPC!!! The same processor architecture that APPLE computers have made famous? Who's directing the xBox?! Do they know they work for microsoft?

I Think the renamed it XBox 360 becasue they don't want to be like other people nameing things after the number of models thay have out...Hrm..Nintendo 64..LOL They must suck, They probably failed 63 times to make it...sorry for being off topic but yeh they jsut wanted a cool name probably...
