They got a point, its just a hue change. Try adding a crater in the middle, mars has lots of them, look for some stock photos of craters and blend them in.

actually there is evidence that ice does or at least did exist on mars at one point. do your homework next time. B)

the idea isn't totally farfetched. who am i to say what mars looks like. but you could add some more detail. i like the idea of implementing a crater into the manip. everything just seems too smooth, try adding some rocky textures.
