SoTW's are hard to get your votes because there is just gonna be some 1 better that stand out to the people voting. I've entered like 5 SOTW's and i have had 0 votes on all

Yeah...your entry is really pretty and sparkly. xD

If anything, I guess you'd just have to work on your composition. Your effects look nice, but other things that make a tag stand out for people are depth, flow and lighting.
Applejuice's entry had really great lighting, and that stood out for people. The effects that Sonti added gave the sig depth, and people liked it.
I think depth is probably one of the hardest things, because you're working with an image in 2D. The blur tool and filters are pretty much a necessity for adding depth, and they can also help your focal stand out more in general.

I'm not as good at GFX as many of the people that entered, so I tried to think of something really original no one else would do, and that worked out for me. >>;

Just some things to think about, hope it helped a little.

Yea.. i'm always concentrated on the effect.. but then i forget things like light/depth/.. next time i should do a check list.
