    im kinda new to this, and i've been seeing the term c4d pop up alot in forums, what is it

    it's like an image render made using cinema 4d (i think?) that people use in their sigs/art

    Cinema 4D is a modeling, animation and rendering package developed by MAXON Computer GmbH of Friedrichsdorf, Germany. It is noted for its flexible interface and ease of use. It is capable of procedural and polygonal/subd modeling, animating, lighting, texturing and rendering.

    thanks guys, is there a way to do this? like do i need another program other than my cs5 or what?

    To make C4D you will need the programme, although the internet provides thousands of C4D you can 'Save as' and then open in Photoshop.
    Places like:
    - Deviant Art
    - Planet Renders

    well I already use planet renders, but im still not sure exactly what a c4d file does... does it like ass an effect or something?

    Well you put the in to add texture, depth, and overall makes the tag look a lot better.
    Most tutorial provided on this forum, include the use of C4D, try following one and see the outcome!

    Yeah, it's just a picture.

    The effects it creates depends on how effectively you can use it
