    Default smudge settings 2

    made a quick one to show my smudge settings

    some body an idea for a render to go with it?

    V2 with sprite..

    no dont add any render! O_O just add more details on the sides and maybe some shapes clipping mask or circles! anything will do. middle = <3

    Agree with andoytoys don't add a render, however i don't think you should add shapes or masks either. More detail nd keep it as an abstact

    thanx for the advise guys.. i guess i am a bit stubborn. looked for a render and indeed did not work as you said. but then the idea of a sprite came along and i think it's ok??

    V2 with sprite added.

    i discribed my settings in your topic
    for me smudging is not about one setting. it's about the movement you make and about the varying of your hardness and opacity of your brush. well that's how i do it anyway.

    A sprite smudge sig, I didn't know anybody liked doing those, lol. I did those a couple years back, loved em. Looks nice Xelo, but it doesn't work cause you just made the bg without anything in mind, it could look great if you rework it a bit imo.

    i indeed did make the bg without anything in mind... couldn't find a nice render to go with it...

    but the sprite fits in perfect imo., i added some flow... it's not perfect I know, but that wasn't the goal of this thread LOL!!

    it's just to show what is possible with smudge.....

    If you wanna keep it as a sprite then what i'd do is darken the top right nd bottom left corners. ^^ Just to bring focus back to the sprite
