bad compo + you need to work on the depth, i don't think the colours blend very weel either.

he is an awsum striker, but he deserves a better sig...
main problem is that your render doesn't blend in at all with the effects.
as Ebrithil said, the colors don't match.
Try start with a black BG instead of the pale blue. Dark BG give much more depth!
Also work on your flow. Choose a flow direction. (have a good look at your render and then deside the direction.) Go and work from there... add effects that match the flow, add light etc etc. Last but not least: Keep his head clean, it looks LQ now!

There is very little blending, to begin with.
The render itself does not suit the hectic type of background.

Lighting? It could use some work.
Blurring the whole background went backwards, if it was for the purpose of depth. Blurring something automatically makes it low quality, unappealing and the details are lost. The main purpose of it is it to add depth, when it comes to tagging. When you blur the whole background and make it that easy to view, it does not look good.

You seem to lack foreground FX and you have too many background FX, probably why this piece is hard to blend. Keep it somewhat balanced.
Text is unnecessary and way too distracting. It's sharper and more eye catching than the focal itself.
Border can go, really not doing much justice, imo.

Effects, blending, lighting and your background. Work on those.
    Keep it up!
