Alright, I think I am a fan of this design. More Futuristic (A big jump from my torn up parer one.) and I am thinking I like this one better. So far this is what I have -sorry about the rather big file size, anything lower quality and it looked very very messed up.

Ok, the one thing I will probably not change is the background - I think it is pretty unique and I like it. I would like some ideas for the Navigation section. I say section because I don't just want it to be a bar, I would like it to fill in the box to the left.

I would like to hear a lot of comments from you guys! I am just getting back into the swing of things after not being here for a while.

    Thanks.

keep the design but rework the fx settings. they're too harsh, and make it look noobish. make it lighter, and you may want to make a slight color change over the nav and content areas to give them more definition.

I believe he is talking about the Blending Options. Like the outer glows and inner glows. So are you saying instead of having the black lines that break apart the layout, make them a different color?

So take some of the intensity out of the Effects, and try and add some color to break things up a little better. I think I gotcha there.

Ok, I am thinking it looks better this time. I couldn't get a color that looked just right, so I kept the lines black.

the layer effects settings. where you can set a dropshadow, gradient overlay, pattern overlay, inner/outer glow, etc. that's the layer effects.

I still think it's too harsh, you need to lower the opacity on the stroke and drop shadow's some more. Try for a more subtle look.
