I would remove text from all of your tags to be honest, at least until you perfect it a bit more. Keep trying, stay at it.

Leave the text out of your sigs for awhile as Gall said and don't be ashamed or prideful to try tutorials out. We all did. Don't just stick to one person's tutorials either. Do as many different ones as you can and that will help you grasp a whole new understanding of PS and allow you to make your own unique style.
