    Default Second try at photography

So my 2nd try at photography with some editing.
Think I overdid the editing a bit but oh well....I like it :P

I'm not well known with camera's and stuff so I have 1 question.
How come the quality of my photo's isn't that good while using a
    Canon EOS 550D?

If your quality is low Change your ISO settings. This changes the sensitivity of your camera. At closer up use ISO 80-200 for macro and the higher values for landscapes
ISO makes the pictures grainy the higher the number so is experiment till you get it right.
They also look Lq because you're resizing them just a downside really

Keep your ISO as low as possible.. Adjust your aperture, shutter speed, and exposure compensation to balance out with the low ISO settings.. Also, check your picture settings too. You have the option to shoot sharper or softer in-camera. I keep mine on maximum sharpness because I can always soften it in Photoshop. Your camera shoots in 18MP.. Definitely keep it at maximum size at all times. Your .cr2 or RAW settings are the best, but takes another step to convert it to TIF or other comparable non-compressed files. If you resize your image, like for posting it here, duplicate your final outcome layer (Photoshop/other programs with layers), and hit Sharpen. Then adjust the the transparency for that layer to a more desired sharpness. That way you don't get a "fake" sharpness on your photo.

    Hope this helps!

--You can also do this with "non-destructable" layers.. Let me know if you want to know about it.. It'll take me a bit to type it all out
