also the red/pinky things above his head distract a bit

Yeah, agreed, the right side dithers to nothing and unbalanced everything. There are a couple small distracting spots that could do with a tiny bit more attention but otherwise it is looking good. The lighting on the left side with the red streak looks amazing.
