I have started using PS again today im just a begginer so be nice :P techniques are from the tuts i have looked at today

Third one looks pretty damn good man but you got the light source on the wrong side of his head, look at the bald spot, see how the light source hits the left of his dome? Light source should of been directed more towards that and toned down a bit its really strong atm. The B&W version is a bit better imo, the one thing I suggest is working on getting your renders to blend in a bit better as it still seems flat but vast improvement xD kiu

That 3rd one works real well without any blending but the other 2 do need to be smudged a little. Try using shapes in your work as well it will help with the over all flow.
