Imma have to go with the middle one. The lack of contrast does alot to the piece, which usually wouldnt be the case for most pieces.
Regarding the smudge imma have to say job well done. I'm not sure weather you used topaz or not since you could get the same results in other ways but try to reduce it a bit, it would do wonders to the piece.
