    Default Advice for Computer Hardware.

I'm looking to build my own computer. I've already picked out all the parts that seemed good.
This is my first time building a computer, so it would be really nice if someone could let me know if this is a good setup.
Any other advice is also appreciated. Thanks.

If your going to buy the 8 core then try for a atx mother board, it will work fine but having a atx will always be good but I'm not sure if that case fits regular atxs, it should And maybe try to bump up the power supply, there is a calculator on the Internet somewhere that you should be able to find out what you need.

Edit: didn't see it was a four core my bad, the micro atx should be fine then!!

    What's your max budget?
    Edit: I'd go for a gtx560, 650w psu and buy a 1tb hdd for $20 more.

Wish I could afford an 8-core aha. Thanks for your input!

Max budget is about 650 excluding monitor.
Pretty sure a gtx560 is out of my scope, costs almost double what I have now.
Someone told me that 500GB would be enough. Do you recommend the 1TB for it?
    Thanks

How about the 6870? 1TB is better, with 500GB, you'll end up filling up space in no time if you have a lot of resources on your computer.

Still seems a bit pricey. The current Graphics Card I have, is $74.99. I will consider though, getting the 1TB hard drive. It is only 30$ more.

Might I suggest that you get a better psu(500-650w) in case you want to buy/upgrade your parts in the coming years?

That is a really good idea. I'll look for something now.

Okay, getting this now for the HDD,
Western Digital Caviar Green WDBAAY0010HNC-NRSN 1TB SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

    What do you think?

Go with this one, it's faster and cheaper by a few bucks:

Edit: go with this one instead, I have it in my current rig:

I'd really like to get me a Seagate HDD, but with the Motherboard I've chosen I'm restricted to HDD's that work on 3.0Gb/s.
