Just thought I would let you guys know if you haven't heard about this, Venus is going to pass in front of the sun on June 5th, 2012. It's a rare thing in terms of astronomical events, like comets, asteroids, etc. Most of the world will be able to see it pass by the sun, so there is a good chance we will all be able to see it. This kind of thing wont happen again till 2114. If you have never viewed solar eclipses then you should look up how to view the sun so you don't hurt your eyes, because you can't look directly at the sun. It's supposed to look like a black dot on the sun that should be visible to the naked eye meaning it will be big enough to tell that there is a black dot there. Sounds pretty cool I will try to take some pictures if I see anything. please share if you do take any pictures, thx
