Taking his badge is the only right. If he thinks the dogs is trying to attack him or attacking the owner who had a seizure, shooting it isn't your first option.
Didn't even watch the video tho since it's such a stupid action

well he had to defend himself, and used his gun since it was out at the time.

NYPD at its finest. Despite being a dog lover, the dog went after the cop who was trying to get at the man and I don't know about you but the police are trained to deal with dogs notice the quick trigger

Morality arguments aside, it was a justified shooting. The dog clearly went after the policeman, so the police did what they're trained to do when met with a serious threat. It was either get mauled by the dog, or shoot it, those were the options. They took the right one imo.

Second vid though is fucked. That cop is just a prick.

The only thing that bothered me was that after he shot the pup for loving and protecting his owner, they didn't rush into the guys aid. It's a fucked up situation no matter how we look at it.

p.s I also think that it was a justified shooting, no possible way to get to the guy unless he got the pup out of the way first. Unfortunately, pup wasn't having it.

Some people don't think and respond with too much haste. It was a dog. Taser it if you really need to.

Now without being racist but this is one aspect I can't stand about America. You guys are so Fucken gun happy that it's pathetic. We always hear about some stupid shooting like a 12 year old black kid that was shot, or the batman shooting, or that Muslim hate crime. Guns are too readily available and you hand then to absolute morons some times. Over here only licenced gun people and cops carry guns and we have so little shootings. The only people outside that are drug dealers and bikies and they don't really affect the rest of us anyway.

Nutter, the black kid was displayed as a young innocent boy, he was actually 6'2 200 pounds and full grown gangster, he wasnt as "innocent" as portrayed and I agree to many psychos here in the us.
