    Default Art Style?

Hey guys, I've been trying to make avatars and signatures again after a long hiatus from a game I used to play and the gfx section on it's forum. I decided to check out GFXVoid again as well .

I was wondering if anyone knew what this kind of style is. I've seen it before in signatures and such. I'm not sure how to describe it; it looks a little smudged/faded and the lines and squiggles are very apparent. I like the lighting and

I like this type of look and I was wondering if anyone knew the name of the style or any tutorials for creating it. I'm pretty new to gfx making still and I'd be interested in learning more from you guys.

Not much of a style, overuse of the Topaz photoshop plug-in which is not so recommended to be used like that, atleast from what I've encountered so far.

I would guess that the lines and stuff in the background is either c4d abstract renders or effects, and then they and Venom has been smoothen out with the ps plugin Topaz Clean► http://www.topazlabs.com/clean/

It's pretty simple, add some c4d's in the background, add Venom, play with the color adjustments and then finish it with Topaz Clean.

The Venom render is cut by me, so if you want it I can link it to you

Yes Topaz Clean is the key to that look. For starters I would recommend you to hit the "I feel lucky" button in Clean, it randomizes a effect. Hit the button until you get something you like and then modify the settings until you're satisfied with the outcome. You may also lower the opacity of the Clean layer if the effect is a bit too strong.

    Oki, here he is:

Alright, thanks so much for the tips. I'll see if I can get the plugin and play around with it soon.

Wow, impressive render. Great, I'll put it to use soon. There's a contest on a forum I go on involving Venom so I'll see what I can do .
