    Default [Test] Smudge Fail(s)

Smudge is a style that I'm not familiar with. It was just a matter of looking at other tags and improvisation. While looking for some resources (tags made with these newly obtained resources), I came across some smudge brushes so I thought I would make (butcher) something with them. I'll work with this style a little more in the near future.

The bottom one looks like it could still be made into something awesome.

Both sigs are a bit oversharpened. I like the isolation of light, but they are a bit too isolated and creates too harsh of a contrast between dark and light. Maybe having a bit more of a softer transition for most things would make it more pleasing to look at. I like the concept on both sigs though. Keep it up!

I guess it was the effects of the sigs that made them look too sharp. These tags were basically comprised of effects on top of a natural smudge. I guess I have to be a little careful with them.

Good point on the light. Will take it into consideration.

    Thanks for the comments guys!

second one has potential. the lighting seems a bit forced, and the smudge could use a bit more of a wow factor.

try some splatters to give it some eye-grabbing detail

The render that I used was too dark. On it, it seemed like the light was coming from behind her but given the perspective, it hard to work with. So, I tried to define an alternate lighting. I'll work with some splatters to see if I can get somewhere.

    Thanks!
