Would you like to place an order?"

It was a simple question. One that had the high possibility of being mildly rhetorical. Anyone that used their phalanges to push the digits on their telephone that equaled the abstract voice on the other side, would be placing said order. But just what entailed this order? She bit her lip gently, removing blond locks from her eyes, taking off her spectacles to sigh gently, her wrist rubbing against her stinging red eyes. She remembered what she was told. She wanted to forget, forget it all. That was the goal, the plan. Totally forget his existance, forever and ever... After all, who wouldn't want to forget a man that ruined their life. Without any change of tone, she heard the question again, a deja vu.

"Would you like to place an order?"

"Yes." She said quietly. "Yes, i'd like to place an order."
    "Any specific requests."

This was odd. The voice spoke, but had no real tone. It had a slightly raspy edge, but other than that it seemed plain. normal. So normal, so plain, it was abstract- out of place in a modern society that demanded individuality, and at the same time equality.

"I have an object that he needs to see. It has to be the last thing that he ever sees."
"That can be done." The voice replied. "You will receive the account number and the amount to be paid within the next two days. When that account receives the six digit payment, the contract will be fulfilled in twenty four hours. Understand?"
"Yes..." She said, blood dripping down her chin. She had bit her lip too harshly. She sniffled slightly, blowing blond locks of hair out of her eyes as she spun in her office chair, staring off to the side, into the bookshelf.
    "Have a pleasant evening."

The low beeping of the dial tone was the only final goodbye she needed. The final piece of closure. The only way to really get a person out of your life, is to get them out of life.
