didnt put to much time into just messing around and i came with this outcome

This is definatly an...interesting sig. Unless you were try to make the lighting that lens flare thing its not working o.o. I'm not a fan of the border but thats a simple and quick change. Also your BG is kinda boring spice it up a bit.

The bevel border is so bad sorry to say but it is. Hmm the bg looks very filtered and boring, the render could use some blending and the text dont fit. Try to read some tut's to get you started keep practise

question how do u guys make those 2 simple black lines on the top and bottom of ur sigs

Very ease you just select the canvas then you take your retangular select tool and right click then pick stroke make color black and decide how many px you want. and bam its there

I think he means the cinematic border Daemon :P And i don't think you can do those with the marquee tool, can you?
To make the cinematic border, you get the rectangle tool (which is the icon underneath the "text" icon), then make the colour in your pallet black or whatever colour you want, and then do two rectangles to fit the top and bottom...
Atleast, that's the way I do it
As for your sig, you really need to work on fx (and wateva Daemon said)
