Speeding up my CS3
Hi All,
Since two weeks I've got Photoshop CS3 and I think it would be nice if it runs just a little quicker on my computer. Do you think that adding 1GB of memory might help?
It's a HP pavilion 6440 (I think), it runs Vista home premium and it has a AMD duo-core and allready 2 GB of memory.
Thanks for answers.

I don't think extra memory would speed up your program, but you'll get rid of the lagging you get after working with a hi res image for a while. I have about 1GB and PS CS and my memory always runs out.
But oh well, if there's something I'm no very good at it's computer hardware.. :P

I have Vista Home Premium with 2 gigs of ram and an AMD Dual-Core 4000+, and the runtime for CS3 from opening it to having it fully loaded is about 6 seconds. Never lags, runs smooth with no glitches, so I don't know what your problem is.
Just try to do some normal maintenance on your machine. Do a Registry Sweep first of all, that's usually the biggest problem with lags and crashes. If that doesn't help, try to Defragment your Hard Drive, and see if that'll do it.
Give us an update.
