um... well i guess ill do my typical paragraph on it lets see... where to start. ok the planets. They are lined up in like a perfect diagnal line (very unrealistic). They also are transparent... planets arent transparent. You can see stars through them. And if those stars are in front of the planet... well then thats another issue. Stars are hundreds of thousands of tiems bigger than planets, so as it is, it doesnt make any sense if the stars are in front of the planets. The planets are also clearly duplicates of one planet just resized and colorized. Work on the textures of the planets. The starfield is next. The starfield needs a higher contrast and more variety. The 3 brighter stars need to be redone in my opinion. The nebula/nebulae (i dont know if its one or more) needs a bit more definition. Nebulae are colorized gases. They sometimes reflect light and sometimes just absorb it. They do have bright and dark spots (shadows etc.) Lastly, the typo is bad. You need to find a different font. I say add a thick black border and use a sarif font like Times New Roman in white centered at the bottom with the name of the piece/your name (dont have that "2nd nature designs" on it). Work on the ring on that 2nd planet. Look at this for reference http://jwolski.strony.wi.ps.pl/6.saturn/saturn_big.jpeg
pick your lightsource as well. you see how in that reference photo i found (first one off of yahoo image search ) the shadow of the planet covers the rings. It appears that your lightsource is coming from the right side of the planets (even though there are 3 bright stars on the left... but if we were to ignore those for a moment...) so the left of the ring should be covered in shadow. Thats all I can think of right now, I'll post again if I see anything. I know its your first, so I was just giving you things to remember for the next one. Keep workin

    Thanks Jack for the comments,
but then again I wasn't going for the most
    realistic space theme ever...

And the planets are just duplicates of the second one
thought it would take to long to make individual ones...

But maybe for the next one I'll make them nicer..

Good plan. It doesn't matter how long it takes, just get a good result i typically spend 10-15 hours on each thing that I do and I still go back and work on them a few hours here and there.
