Some of this software is important to others and another person may not care. For example Chameleon Sam is a Facebook software. Not everybody might use facebook, so you would really need it. Same goes with other things post. But still, i get where your coming from.

how about a good browser first, lol (FF, or chrome). good list, some i can do without but totally agree with IM, 7-zip, and vlc
can i also suggest izarc, windows security essentials, and ccleaner. great free programs everyone should try
