Since it's 450 layers I doubt you've done it in Illustrator, right? So if it's done in PS it's called a Vexel.

Its very sexy with brilliant colors. The lips are the best part, so juicy. Can't imagine how long this must've taken you, well deserved win

Thanks Rad! And no it's not a vexel, it is a vector. It was done in photoshop but it was all done with the pen tool retaining the shape, so it is just like any vector made in illy. I just like using photoshop more for some reason. Dunno why >.<

I realy like this one, all pentool work?
Thanks, and yeah, all pen tool =)

i know her, shes the female protagonist of the anime series & video games called Ghost in the Shell naw @ts: this one looks awesome btw, but i think it needed lightsource its a bit dark imo.
Thanks! I thought about adding a light, but I really liked how the light was in the reflection and so you imagined her looking into a sunset or something off in the distance.

Very cool piece and 450 layers I remember those days of pain in my hand from doing pentooling :P

You know what would look uber cool and finish it off perfect would be sometype of reflection on her glasses.
indeedy! I wanted to add a reflection of something like clouds or maybe an explosion, but I just ran out of time >.<

This is amazing, did you do it on illy?
Thanks Tay! It was done in photoshop. I did a few of the shapes in illy about half way through, and then remembered how clunky illy feels and went back to Photoshop =D

Seeing outcomes like this is what makes me happy for hosting my vector competition, and inspiring people to try it out.

Rad, most of my pictures have hundreds of "layers" if I don't merge the same ones together just to reduce file size and computer strain. On my Tim Roth picture, I had more than 450 layers just in the beard. :P

Good work little, keep it up, and can't wait to see what you make for the next competition. ^______^

Thanks! And yeah, I thought you must've had lots of layers for that one. It's always the hair that is such a bother. >.<
