I found this site a couple of days ago while looking for tutorials, and decided to stay. I've been interested in special-effects related things (modelers, animators, designers, etc.) ever since Fellowship of the Ring came out (love the books, and the movies blew me away with the amount of detail and realism that was evident throughout the trilogy). I'm in college, going for my Associate's degree, and then hope to transfer to Kendall College in a year or two. I've only taken 1 Photoshop class, and am in a Illustrator one now, but I own Photoshop CS2 and Illustrator CS so I've been able to make a lot of cool stuff. Also, I've used Terragen (a great free program) for creating landscapes, and I'm gradually getting better at it. Looking forward ot meeting some people, and learning more!
