When I was in 7th grade, about 2 years ago, one of my teachers made me write a poem that was supposed to "persuade" it to come live in my borough or something. This was mine, and it was later published in the Daily News:

New York may be good,
But Brooklyn is nice,
Our blows will take down any foe,
They will make your head spin,
Because this is what we are,
You may be the center,
But Brooklyn is the star,
Poem, Poem,
You won't need to go far,
Just come with me and hop in the car,
Coney Island with your friends,
Astroland rides are a new trend,
Just hop in the envelope,
And I will send,
Manhattan is out,
Brooklyn is in,
We're the best without a doubt,
Over here we shout,
We do not pout,
We are the best,
Why settle for less?
