id like to know where u got that idea redblaze.
It won't happen... the gas companies pay the car companies to not produce vehicles that are not dependant on gasoline.
and if gas starts to cost like 10$ a gallon who the hell is going to buy it.
so the car manufacturers have to start producing cars that use something else.

Gas prices are getting alittle out of hand now. For awhile, when they were at $2.** a gallon that was just gas prices catching up with the economy. They had been low for so long that the completely missed inflation. All of a sudden they rocketed up to be at the price that they should have been the whole time, and everyone freaked out. Now, though, I think OPEC is getting greedy. After they saw everyone still bought for the same amount of gas, after a huge increase in price. Their just seeing how far they can push us.

It has been recommended to me, and I recommend it to you. Do not buy gas from Mobil or Exxon companies. Those are the two largest suppliers/purchasers of oil. If they start losing money, it will force them to lower their prices and to put pressure on OPEC to lower it's asking price. And once Mobil and Exxon go down in price all the other smaller companies will follow suit. It's an excellent idea, that doesn't require you to budget or carpool or anything, as I know that's just not a plausible option for some people. All you have to do is look for a smaller gas station. If you don't have any Exxon or Mobil's in your area then boycott the biggest one near you. Recommend it to your friends and family as well. If the smaller gas station costs you and extra penny or two, oh well, you'll be saving ten times that in a matter of months. And most likely it will be no extra cost to you at all.

in here finland, its like 1,50€
now a gallon is about 4,5 litres
if you payed the same price as we do here in finland...
u would pay per gallon 6,75€
    1€=1,25380$
    6,75x1,25380=8,46315 dollars per gallon.

    other way
with the prize you pay for a gallon(about $3, right?) in there u would get about 2 litres in here.
    less than half a gallon.

so stop whining its still nothing compared to many other countries.
