lol this is kinda like sayin golf sucks - people that like it (like me) will think wtf why do people think that when if they listen closely to rock you cant even hear it. but on the other hand if you dont listen to it then u prolly wont like it because you dont know what they are sayin or what it means.

I've heard my share of rap dude. I'm not closed minded, I've just formed an opinion.

Most rap is just a stolen beat with some criminal talking over it. MTV and radio force rap on the kids. It isn't that clever to stand for gun violence, degrading women and getting drunk all the time. Lastly, I HATE wiggers. How annoying... :P

Rap is just like any other genre, a few good artists, and a whole lot of crap. Jay-Z is probably the best out there. Kanye's new CD was surprisingly good.

Ok, well if you look at music history you'll find that most music up until the 1980- 90's had integrity. It's just going downhill. This is because no one will put the time and effort into making quallity music because people will just download it from the internet. Therefore, not only rap, but all music these days, (underground excluded) sucks. The people who are listening to this new crap are getting stupider and stupider. It's no longer about who can make a good record, but who can sell their crap the best. That's why I stick to the classics. Stuff that actually took talent to make. Getcha pull!

Do you actually have any evidence to back this up? And furthermore, do you understand enough Music Theory to even make that statement? Music itself is no worse off then it was 20 years ago.

I've heard rap. There are 2 kinds of rap. The kind where it's all about pimping, and whores and money and the like (e.g. 50 cent) and then there's the kind where artists regurgitate words that they think makes them look good (e.g. Kanye West). And what does it consist of? Fast rhymes. So much musical credibitlity *rolls eyes*
