I tried learning spanish for a few years, but I quit. I have no intention to learn a different language.

The american education system doesn't have a monopoly on that mate... same problem crops up everywhere.
Just be glad your not somewhere like palenstine, iraq or iran. The education rate is woeful.

My school has 3 forieghn languages classes, spainish and french. Im hoping to become an exchange student in my college years, in spain. There i will major in computer (no idea what yet) then minor in spanish. I love spanish, allows for easy commuication in the USA.

out school teaches spanish german french, latin greek, and used to teach italien till the italian dude left
-
that's the rouble with most schools, the 'teachers' if that's what you like to call them take some lessons in teaching but because there is a shortage of older people interested in learning a new language they just hire anyone who can speak both foreign and common languages so in effect know what they're doing language wise but have a crock of shit in the class room because they can't handle children/teens or know how to use that language to teach
It could be why i don't know jack squat, either that or it could be that 90% of the time i'm too lazy to remember the language, i'd be happy with a grade C in my GCSEs for languages though the tests and courswork is easy as fuck i'm sure i'll get a minimum of a C
