THis is my newest peice, it's a variation to all of the beams you see, which are smooth, and symmetrical. I called it plague, because it had a feeling of being rough and dirty with it, i also made a version which was even dirtier then this.. with more depth and dark / light in it, if anyone wants to see it just say... But i only used the basic photoshop 7.0, no brushes or anything, took me aroudn a hour / hour and a half to complete , what do you think? Different ?

I like though i think some parts or blured or smuged to much. I alos think it would look better if there was no black at all in it. (all the black is in the top left.)

Thanks, but to my knowledge there is no black... in the top left there is grey goign into red.

first off, your border should be the top layer in the psd file, right now it is overrun by the "beam". and could you explain again how this as anything to do with the title "plagued"?

i think its often better if people leave their works untitled rather than try to pull up some meaning from what is simply random brushing.

i dont see a beam , more like a puff of smoke... this could be nice if u choose a better font and position it better

Thanks, yeh i usually put the border ontop.. but i done i halfway through, when i though i was done, then edited out alot of the image , which would also explain why it&#39;s not so beam like. And i felt it kinda look crippled / messed up.. so plagued fitted, for me anyways.

Seems like something is missing. And the brushing towards the bottom left isnt bad. There seems to be a really smooth brushing towards the top right, which to me just doesnt seem to fit that greatly. Just my opinion.
