Hehe, I don't use brushes. The texture is a bit painted, like all the scars. The rest of the texture are different textures that I have chosen, manipulated till it fits the picture and then blurred a little bit so it won't look that sharp. I tried not to overdo the texture, so alot erasing with low opacity was done.

That's pretty much it. :]
