Walking down this empty road.

Wind blows a chilling cold.

Whispered cries fade away.

Darkness comes devours day.

All alone as darkness creeps.

Wind howls branches screech.

Heavy storm moving near.

Thunder rolls fills with fear.

Lighting strikes blinding light.

Past forgotten forced in sight

Memories hurt still to hard

Tears dropping falling scarred.

Giving in darkness calls.

Light gone hope falls.

I like the idea and use of words, but the construction sort of bugs me.
It all feels the same, every line is just like the previous one.
