Remember this guy is very new to grahics by the look of it so he needs detailed criticism telling him what to do not to tell him to start it over...

go to http://www.dafont.com and get some new fonts first.
Then when you done that change the text and right click the text layer and go to blending options, then try a little bevell and emboss and play with the settings.

Try blending the render a little bit, get the lasso toold (little rope thing) set it to about 10feather with that render and make a small circle, go around the edges pressing del

OR

You can get the eraser tool, get the soft brush and set it to around 100pixels and erase the edges of the render with the edge of the brush.

Then try setting the render to luminous.

And when your doing your background go to deviantart (google it ) and get some brushes off there.

Oh yeah and rember this: although annimation may look good dont try it untill you have gotten quite good with photoshop, it just spoils siggehs in most cases.
