    yello

    aight, heres the story

my grandparents set me to the task of taking like 80 pictures they took on their trip, and making a slide show presetaion with music and all that stuff. so i made a little something in Windows Movie Maker. They want to put this on DVD so they can watch it on their new TV.

I have a DVD-R - and i know exactly how to use it - but the format of this file is not at .MSWMM - - and my DVD-R will no accept that type of format -

Is there any way i can switch .MSWMM to anything, like .wmv or something else that would work? thanks. .

    umm...

    go to my documents
    click tools>folder options
    select view.
untick "hide extensions for known file types"

    then rename it to THEFILENAME.wmv

im not sure if it will work.
but wont harm if you rename it back.

pfft, you should maybe read all the help section on the program first ...

..anyways .. let me just make you a little tut ...

When you have finished your movie select the save movie to computer as shown...

    Follow the pictures clicking next...

The next picture is optional but it allows you to limit your movie size .. but decreases your quality if size is lowered less than previous...

when that's done you will have a movie file! .. if you want to change that.. you need a video converter, just google it ....
... the .MSWMM is just the save file containing the data to construct back into windows movie maker... it's like a .iso and nero burning ... or a .psd for ps ..

..remember to send the movie file and not the movie maker file to your family
