I think the second one looks best the brightness seems to make the render blend more.

I think it looks too sharp...maybe add like a .5 Gaussian Blur on another layer set to either Soft Light or Overlay would look better...Nice job.

Yeah, it's too sharp and contrasted. The detail is good though. Make sure to make the text and border invisable, then on a new layer above the sig, go to Image>Apply Image, click OK. Then desaturate that layer and bring down the opacity until it looks good. Just an idea, don't know how well it'll work, but it might take care of the contrast problem.
