Ok, so let's say I went on-line and bought a DVD of a live Death show. What programs or utilities could I use to rip the DVD material to my PC, slice them up, and convert the slices to MP3 tracks for my iPod? Does any type of free software, or possibly a trial version, exist that I could download to do this? I can't use P2P from my house anymore so it'd be a pain to have to download something illegally.

    No... Not really = /

You could rip the DVD video the PC using DVDshrink.

That won't help, though as I can't think of a program the can extract the audio. (I know imovie can, but im guessing you don't have a mac xD)

Well I don't really have any experience with this, but you could try the free trial of this or something similar: http://www.xilisoft.com/dvd-audio-ripper.html

Thanks conspired! I was hoping for a program that someone had actually used before, but I tried that out and it seems to work fine. I tried doing 30 seconds or so and it worked perfectly, but I'll post back when I finish ripping the DVD.

edit: It works, and I've ripped the entire DVD. Thanks again conspired!
