Thought i'd show you what i'm working on atm. Well this is one of my peices... i'm doing this one on my dad's laptop so i can't work on it that much.

Yeh i know theres LOADS wrong with it, eg: planet shockwaves are messed up, it's b&w ( although i like b&w...) The fucking photo needs work although i spent 2 hours already trying to touch it up, it needs a light source for the planet.. a hot nebula / dust cloud will do for that, hopefully i'll do that friday.

But ja.. you can kidna see where i'm going with it. It's my first peice of art this style. And i don't like to use tuts... so meh - rip it or love it .

    =)

like the idea but the smoke/clouds underneath the planet looks bad and the sky could use some more detail.
    This is me.

I have sharpened it. This is a 25% view. I'll post a 100% view of the city... eugh. IT looks ok at 50% though =) - i might neatimage it also

Awesome! You're doing GREAT for you first try at this. I know you've gotten rid of all the color problems by turning it B&W, but I really think it should be that way. There are some stuff here and there that you should work on, but they are already mentioned in this thread. Although, the clouds above the city doesn't look bad, they are just a bit too contrasting. Just make them "thinner". Also, I don't think that you should add some kind of nebula. It would ruin the cool minimalism at the top. Keep it this way, but you could work a little on the starfield to make it look perfect.
I'd love to see a bigger version. ^^

Thanks . Well i didn't mean a full on hefty nebula.. a kinda gas cloud.. just to fill a little space. and the starfield i done in around a minute or two just so it didn't look Completely bare..

I kinda started with the wrong image though.. i think the photo is too close up , i should've chose a terragen peice ( i would've made my own.. if i had the registered version ) with a huge sky.. then i could've expanded on the clouds etc.

    Thanks for les comments =)

It's an uninhabited planet ((so no one dies ((kindness)))) - And as i said, i only added the little stars that are there.. so that i could post here and show you. Without the sky looking very blank.
