My metaphorical big sister told me she is a fan of winter forests, so I dug up some old stuff and turned on Photoshop, started with a blank canvas and made this for her. Now, this is probably my second digital art piece- I usually stick to small sigs.

Hmmm... The sky should be replaced, IMO, with stars or something ... The forest looks (apart from the sky) good, and also I like how you did the fog....

When you are doing the sky, do some star brushes and maybe a few clouds (don't know for sure but I think you can do difference clouds on the star brush layer...)

It's a great piece, but work on the sky... :P

The colours are Extremely harsh. And the brushing is too high an opacity. It doesn't look good imo - looks fake in some parts and real in others

Well I gave it to the young lady in mention and she stared at it in ten minutes of awe. She loved it- that's all that matters. I will, however, take the C&C and remember it.

    Doesnt look too nice.
i mean, its an allrigth job and whatnot, it just looks evil or sumthing
but a winter forest to me means pine trees covered in snow

    something like this.
