Which artist on DeviantART do you think is the most overrated?
I vote for *larafairie! With over 2,5 million pageviews, she gets over 1000 favs for a picture like this: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/31394826/
Her gallery is full of self portraits with the face + rose cliché. And of course, the cat close-ups get 1000 favs too. ^^
Oh god, what the fuck is wrong with people?!

lol yes i just wondered about this today too, i saw some pict by her on main page, and i was like wtf that looks exactly like the picture i saw there last week, yeah she is beatifull thats right but why the fuck do people like it so much, if ther isnt so much photography skill in it, they should rate photo skill of picture not the person how nice she is.

Everything of hers is of herself, and she takes just photos of things, not artsy stuff either.

She has like BRIGHT pink hair, and her name starts witha b. Can't think of it rightnow.


Foureyes is one of my favorites on DA though, he's great.

Well i don't think she's overrated at all. It's blatently obvious she's not popular for her art.

If you had given out 35k comments, and submitted 155 deviations... you're bound to have ALOT of page views.

But yea it is ridiculous shes doing that well with her level =/

Yeah, Alyn is IMO overrated. He sucks at working with colors, so he often just makes everything blue or yellow to get rid of that problem. And he don&#39;t know how to make something simplistic and interesting at the same time, so he puts 25234982374398 details in one single image, so people will think: "my god, amazing details&#33;" and fav. I think some of his terraspace pictures are kinda annoying to look at, because of what I just said. There is no real point to focus at. There&#39;s just details. And one funny thing is that when he tries to make a space scape without a landscape, he gets like.. 50 favs. :P He&#39;s very good at using Terragen though.

I would think he would be 500 times more interesting if he kept doing dark art. I mean, his website is really kool (if he hasn&#39;t made a new design). Ziong&#33;

She may be fit, but she shouldn&#39;t get artistic recognition because of her looks. Fair enough if she used her looks well, in some decent poses and shots.. but they&#39;re just random pictures of her staring into the camera. Skill? hardly.
