That's one of the small issues we ran into with the import to vBulletin. I believe once you delete a message in your inbox, or maybe even just send a message, the message count will be updated to reflect the correct number. Let me know if it does not do that.
Not sure why this happens, but generally not too big of an issue. It didn't seem worth keeping GFXVoid offline any longer to get that issue situated.
