Not everything is about blending. Sometimes definition is actually good... i think it looks a little similar to your other one, but i like the dramatic lighting.. although that's on the render :| You seem alright at photoshop. You should paint a sig , or paint a cartoony render or something, you'd probably be able to do it pretty well
