    Default Experimental space thingy

This is something I did today. I don't know if it is finished yet. You tell me.

PLEASE say if the color of the arm is okay. I tried to make it a bit natural, a bit night-ish and a bit blended at the same time and due to my half color blindness I just can't see if it looks ok or totally fucked. It's the same with everything that has to do with skin and eye colors and stuff like that.

I shot the arm myself and made the nebula from scratch.

    UPDATE!

I hope ImageShack isn't as slow for you as it is for me.

well apart from it being completely unrealistic, which doesnt matter, the lighting is wrong. If you were able to see that amount of light, then.. well, it would affect the arm. And theres a HUGE highlight on it atm.

otherwise its nice.. just.. something else bout the arm bugs me.

Dale: What do you mean with detail and sharpness?

Rob: Realism has nothing to do with this. It's more like a dream or something. :]
I see your point about the light. The lighting is exactly how I wanted it to be when I saw it in my head. Like there is another lightsource on the side of the arm. A window, car, streetlight or whatever. But I will look into it and see if I can do something. It's hard to position a light in front of the arm and take a photo. Or impossible.. It would be like pointing the camera at the sun an take a photo. I want to keep the lighting of the arm dramatic! Maybe there's something I can do about it. We'll see.

Thanks for the comments guys. I appreciate them.

I don't like it much. Seems like....to me at least....just slapped on. =(

It needs more indication that it's an abstract piece, then a realistic one.

The picture of the hand is a different quality level to the nebula, get the quality the same and they'll look better together

It's really cool. Just the arm kinda feels weird to me, like as if it goes inwards as you follow it down. Maybe I'm just tired or something. It's really good though.

Thanks for the comments. I admit it was kinda thrown together.. The arm was added afterwards, I wanted to add new dimensions to the whole thing instead of the old boring planets + nebula.
