Loken if your looking at them in IE, and their PNGs than they wont be transparent *D'oh*

Yes i know that. I mean that LOOKING at them in an old IE i could tell which ones had transparent areas and which actually didn't, people had just matched the forum background colour, so not a transparent sig at all

Yeah, when you make the document, instead of it having like a white or black BG, you can chose transparent.
From there you would make the sig, or have on you already made, and eliminate the BG.

ive tried doing that but when i save as a png with a transparent bg, it takes the checkerboard bg and it comes out looking like New's. i dunno, maybe i did something wrong that time but i just assumed that the ones ive seen around here were color matched.
