    Default Resident Evil

This is my very first project in PSP 7.0. I just downloaded it today. I've been doing a few tutorials today and so I would really like to hear some advice from you all. Be gentle!

    Thanks.

Yes, we can all come to an agreement on that the picture sucks, I already knew that :P. I posted it because i wanted tips so i can know what to work on instead of playing around with it, posting it a year later and hearing that i suck. Might as well hear that i suck now and get instructions. So don't be shy.

EDIT: If someone would edit the picture the way they see fit if that is possible. I would really appreciate it! Please post instructions on what you did or at least tell me what you did if you do so.

daemon gave hints didn´t he? the render is not cut out well. try the lasso tool with about 2px feather if you aren´t good yet at cutting. this way you have an easy made blending effect and small incorrect cuts don´t appear later. the background is just simply boring. lighten some parts up, use good effects. the text is too big. the important thing should be the sig, not the text. hope THAT helps.

Also, you can get images that are already cut, just about anywhere off the web. You can use those so you dont have to worry so much about cutting it yourself.
Try some of the tutorials off this site, Alot of them supply you with the render they used to begin

    One tip: Try tutorials! .D
You will eventually learn to apply methods you learn in tutorials.

PS: When I'm stuck, I also look up some tutorials to give me ideas...

Yeah, I have realized that would probably be the best. P.S. BADASS sig! Has that dark mystifying affect!
Thanks for the input. You won't have to look at any more bad sigs from me for a long time now! Although I did redo my first one. Not sure if it is better or worse though... :\

make the text a lot smaller since it isn't the focus of the sig, and keep the layer styles to a minimum, though the font is good. make the background's lighting match the shading on the sig, so to the right of her it would be light and to the left dark. and that drop shadow on her makes her look like paper.
