also heres a gud idea... i suspect u modelled these usin lathe nurbs.. so click the lathe nurbs object.. in the object properties (right side of screen) click "Object" tab and look for subdivision and reduce the value to somin like 6 or 8... then the pencil will have edges like the pencil in ur sig


also the chess piece doesnt look much like a pawn... maybe google search for a pic of a real piece and compare and model again... this time do somin like this vvv

but u can do much better.. make the spline like that... or better!
