What does one think, when they hear "fear"?
How can one describe this feeling?
To some, even the slightest can shed tear,
And have it disturb their very well being.
For something that is only a mere thought,
Though still dreaded by the bravest.
It can cause even they to sit and rot,
To seep into the long, undiscovered rest.
When confronted by our biggest of all,
What should one do to stay in the game?
The fight for the win needs one good call.
Can we overcome it, and still feel the same?
Nevertheless once it has been defeated...
The clock chimes; time still goes on.
We stand tall and hope it's not repeated,
But fear itself to some will never be gone...

I wrote this poem back in High school. I've kept it for all this time. Feel free to comment if you like.
